The PATA local forum co-hosted by Small Projects foundation and funded by 25:40 and One to One Children's fund was held in East London from 21-22 July 2011. The theme of the forum was linking PMTCT and paediatric services.
The forum brought together 12 teams from the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa, intent on making changes in their services. Energy levels were high and there was much enthusiasm as participants received input from academics and practitioners in the field. Representatives from the Department of Health were fully involved in the entire forum and engaged participants in finding ways to work together.
