To bring real change in the way the AIDS pandemic has been handled so far and to give children the lifesaving treatment they need, healthcare workers from different disciplines have to work together and to be in direct contact with each other and other leading thinkers in the field in order to find the best workable solutions to the problems they face.
The PATA Forum brings together treatment teams consisting of a doctor, nurse, counsellor/ psychologist and pharmacist so that they can discuss their common or different struggles and then to find solutions for every team's shared issues and challenges.
At the PATA Forum, teams set goals for their clinics for the upcoming year. These goals are often inspired by creative ideas that they've learnt from other teams or from the conference's main themes.
